• Barcelona is one of the most modern cities in Europe and a centre of new trends in culture, fashion and gastronomy. It combines the creativity of great artists, architects and designers with a rich historical heritage, traditions and authenticity.
• On the tour you will visit major attractions and sights such as the iconic Sagrada Família, Montjuïc hill, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Barcelona, Port Vell or the Old Port, turned into a shopping and entertainment area for the 1992 Olympic Games, La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, the houses designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, Casa Batlló, Plaça de Catalunya and the Christopher Columbus monument.
• Free time for a stroll.

• A visit to Montserrat Abbey with the miraculous Black Madonna

• Santa Maria de Montserrat is an abbey of the Order of St Benedict, set on the Montserrat mountain in Monistrol de Montserrat, Catalonia. The monastery was founded in 1025 and rebuilt between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. With a community of about 70 monks, the abbey is still active today.
• The Black Madonna of Montserrat, or La Moreneta, sits high above the congregation with her hand outstretched, while her left elbow is richly decorated with Venetian mosaics. Inside the basilica the walls dance amid flickering candles and golden ornaments, while the voices of the famous Boys' Choir fill the space.
• Getting to the monastery is an adventure in itself. As the train approaches Montserrat, the jagged peaks of the mountain range appear before your eyes. Then the monastery comes into view, as if perched impossibly high among the granite rocks. How such a grand structure was built at such a height remains a mystery to this day.
• On the way back there is an option for a wine and tapas tasting.

• A visit to the Barcelona Aquarium and free time

• The price includes the transfer to Barcelona, free time and the Aquarium entrance fee, with free access to all areas. The free time for a stroll in Barcelona and the aquarium visit totals 6 hours.
• The time you spend in the museum is not limited. A guided tour of Barcelona is not included in the price.

• Transfer and free time for a stroll in Barcelona

• The price includes the transfer from the hotel to a coach car park near the central tourist area of the city and/or the metro, as well as the coach back to the hotel.
• The partner agency on site will inform you of the exact days and times of the excursion. Please note that the group transfer taking you from Barcelona back to your hotel waits for late travellers only for a fixed time.

• Excursion to Tarragona

• One of the pearls of the “Golden Coast” is without doubt the city of Tarragona! A combination of the cosmopolitan and the ancient, it has kept the charm of the fishing villages so typical of this part of Spain.
• The day you will spend in ancient Tarraco will first take you back to ancient Rome. You will visit one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in Spain, an official UNESCO site, which once held an audience of 30 000. Set on one of the high parts of the city, it reveals an unforgettable view of the endless Mediterranean and the region's large, wide beaches.
• Near the theatre is the Praetorium, the tower that linked the eastern part of the city with the amphitheatre. You will also see the Castell del Pilar - the remains of the palace of the Roman governor of the province - and the museum, which holds many interesting, if partly preserved, artefacts.
• Tarragona is also famous for its ancient tradition, the “Festival of Human Towers”. Called Castells, it is part of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage. Literally hundreds of people form living towers as high as six storeys. It all takes place to the sound of traditional Catalan music, and the climax comes when the youngest participants climb to the top while the crowd holds its breath.
• You will also have about an hour and a half of free time for lunch and a stroll. An ideal place to eat is El Serrallo - the famous fish market, surrounded by many typical taverns and restaurants.

• Travel to Spain requires a passport or ID card, valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry into the country.

• No additional vaccinations are required.
• Prices of additional excursions offered locally may change, or excursions may be cancelled for reasons beyond the tour operator's control, such as bad weather or force majeure.

• IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRAVELLERS

• The trip is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
• This information may be updated at any time as new requirements and regulations are introduced. The tour operator reserves the right to change the order of the excursions in the programme. The museum fees stated are based on the information published on the websites of the sights concerned.
• The price may change in the event of: changes in transport costs (fuel), airport, port and other fees; a change of more than 3% in the exchange rate between the date the contract is signed and departure; an unforeseen price increase by our partners, as well as in other objectively necessary cases. The exchange rate used to calculate the programme is EUR/USD 1=1. - Due to constantly changing fuel prices, airlines may charge a so-called fuel surcharge. In such a case, the tour operator reserves the right to change the travel price by the actual amount of the fuel surcharge, and it will be payable for all bookings on the flights for which it is charged, regardless of when they were made. Fuel prices in the programme are calculated at $1000/tonne and 1 euro = 1 dollar. If fuel prices change, a fuel surcharge may be charged. This surcharge must be announced by the tour operator and paid by the customer no later than 21 days before the departure date.
• The airline reserves the right to update departure and arrival times, and the tour operator will inform passengers in good time.
• The tour operator is NOT responsible for expired identity documents or documents valid for less than the period required for entry into the country, or for changes in museum fees and opening hours.
• Foreigners who entered the Republic of Bulgaria with their own transport (car) may not leave the country by another type of transport.
• Children under 18 travelling without their parents or with only one of them must carry the original and a photocopy of a notarised declaration that both parents, or the parent not travelling, consent to the child leaving the country. If the child travels with both parents but they have different surnames, the child's birth certificate and a copy of it must be provided. In all cases we recommend carrying the original and a photocopy of the birth certificate of travellers under 18. The documents are for the Bulgarian border authorities.
