Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest and best-known national parks in India. Once a favourite hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur, today the park is home to more than 60 tigers and is a major destination for watching wildlife. Ranthambore is one of the few places in the world where these rare predators can be seen in their natural habitat.
The tour lasts eight days and includes 2 nights in Delhi, 2 nights in Jaipur, 1 night in the Ranthambore National Park area and 1 night in Agra in 4 or 5 star hotels with breakfast and dinner, flight tickets, airport - hotel - airport transfers, a sightseeing programme in Bulgarian, visits to Delhi, Jaipur, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra, entrance fees for the sights visited, and morning and afternoon safaris in Ranthambore park. The group has a tour leader, there is also a local guide on site, and the commentary is given with simultaneous translation into Bulgarian. Transfers within India are by minibus/coach. Flights are with Turkish Airlines (including airport taxes, checked baggage up to 30 kg and hand luggage up to 8 kg).

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Flight Sofia - Istanbul - Delhi
Flight Sofia - Istanbul. Flight Istanbul - Delhi.
Day 2: Arrival in Delhi
Transfer to the hotel. Breakfast. A tour of Old Delhi - the Jama Masjid mosque, the Raj Ghat memorial and the Chandni Chowk market (option of a rickshaw ride). Panoramic tour of New Delhi: Parliament, India Gate, the Qutub Minar tower (UNESCO), the Lotus Temple (from the outside) and Humayun's Tomb (UNESCO). Check-in, dinner, overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 3: Jaipur - the pink city
Departure for Jaipur, capital of the state of Rajasthan (260 km). A visit to the Galta temple (“the Monkey Temple”). In the evening - the Birla temple to watch the Aarti ceremony. Dinner, overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 4: Amber Fort and Jaipur
A visit to Amber Fort (with the option of riding up on an elephant, subject to availability). A tour of Jaipur: the City Palace, the Observatory (UNESCO) and a photo stop at Hawa Mahal - “the Palace of the Winds”. Dinner, overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 5: Ranthambore - afternoon safari
Departure for Ranthambore (175 km). In the afternoon - a safari in Ranthambore National Park, home to more than 60 tigers, leopards, antelope, Indian deer and many birds. Dinner, overnight stay in the park area.
Day 6: Morning safari and Agra
Early in the morning - a second safari in Ranthambore. Departure for Agra (265 km), visiting Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO) on the way. Check-in, dinner, overnight stay in Agra.
Day 7: The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
A visit to the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan (1631-1653) in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. A tour of Agra Fort and the Itimad-ud-Daulah mausoleum (“the Baby Taj”). Departure for Delhi (240 km). Dinner, overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 8: Return to Bulgaria
Transfer to the airport. Flight Delhi - Istanbul - Sofia.

Required documents
Travel to India requires a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of return, and an Indian visa (€49, issued and paid for from Bulgaria - a visa form is completed and a copy of the passport and 1 colour photo 5x5 cm are provided; approximate processing time 10 days).
Health requirements: no vaccinations are mandatory, except yellow fever vaccination for persons who have visited countries where the disease is widespread in the last 6 days. There are no special covid requirements.
Other programme terms
Minimum number booked for the tour to run: 30 travellers. If the minimum number is not reached, the trip may be cancelled, in which case all payments made are refunded in full, without further compensation.
The tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
